We believe a critical factor in maintaining a successful pension fund is to assuring that the trustees and staff are knowledgeable. Throughout our existence, we have been a catalyst in the effort to enhance fiduciary education across the country.
We work with our clients to provide the ongoing education required to support a responsible board and promote a competent staff. These efforts include:
- Intensive orientation sessions for new trustees
- Regular updates on fiduciary, investments, and other issues
- Training sessions regarding roles and responsibilities and timely issues
- Seminars on current investment trends, changes in benefits, and fiduciary topics
Not only have we have designed and presented numerous orientations and training sessions, we have evaluated educational alternatives offered outside the retirement systems. We also have assisted boards in developing their own internal education programs for themselves and their staffs.
