Fiduciary Services

Overview

EnnisKnupp has been providing fiduciary and governance consulting services on an ad hoc basis since the firm’s inception in 1981. Five years ago, however, we formed a dedicated fiduciary services practice to focus on providing deeper and broader governance and operational services.

Our fiduciary services team works with clients on a regular basis to assess and improve their practices and policies. We provide governance-related services to our clients, including facilitating strategic planning activities, conducting trustee education, developing customized policies, and performing fiduciary audits and operational reviews. We know the investment industry’s issues and the nuances of pension fund management. We use our collective experience to partner with boards and staffs of institutional investors to evaluate the internal organization, identify external issues, and create or update goals and objectives that are truly strategic in nature. We are routinely called upon to evaluate an organization in light of common and best practices in the industry.

Our Strengths

Our mission is to improve our clients’ operations by being the premier provider of research-driven advice and innovative solutions. We enjoy what we do and bring these strengths to our work for clients:

  • Depth of experience. Our team brings a wealth of experience to its clients; we understand a client’s specific circumstances, enjoy a broad perspective on best practices, and have a genuine interest in helping clients continually develop. Both leaders of the Fiduciary Services team are sought after industry experts and their combined experience in pension fund administration, consulting, law, investments, and governance is second to none.
  • Forward-thinking philosophy. We concentrate time and energy on ways to prevent and mitigate fiduciary risk. We create methods to make organizations more transparent and accountable. We push for higher standards where they are needed.
  • Independence. Consulting has been and remains our only business, so we have no conflicts of interest and can provide objective, advice to our clients.
